With a sturdy 1-3/4″ (45mm) backset and a 25/32″ (20mm) wide faceplate, this lock fits precisely into Marvin sliding door configurations. The overall length measures 40-15/16″ (1040.0mm) with radius ends, and the three hooks are spaced 16-7/8″ (429.3mm) apart, aligning with the manufacturer’s specifications. The lock body case is 4-1/8″ (104.8mm) long, and both ends of the lock are rounded for compatibility with the door’s factory milling.

This product includes the lock body only. It does not include the strike plate or handleset trim for the door jamb. Compatibility details are particularly important for Marvin sliding doors, as their trim is different from many other brands. If replacing existing hardware, check the trim style: Marvin’s new and old trim styles are not interchangeable without new holes, and the new style trim does not cover marks left by the old trim. Only Marvin trim fits the 11-1/4″ (285.8mm) top-to-bottom screw hole pattern; standard trim should only be used if the door is undrilled.

Operation is straightforward: The three-hook system engages when the thumb turn or key is actuated, with the center hook entering the lock case and pushing the plate back to secure the door in position.
