The Chain Link Fence Commercial Cox Gate Hinge, sometimes referred to as a box or butt hinge, is used to attach a gate frame to a fence post. This gate hinge is made of durable galvanized steel, which fits a 6 5/8″ post and a 1 5/8″ or 2″ (1 7/8 OD) gate frame. These hinges are used on commercial and industrial chain link gates, allowing the gate to open 90 degrees in either direction. Note that two hinges are required per gate.
To install, simply remove the bolts on the collar and place them around the fence post. Then, remove the bolts on the gate frame collar and place them around the gate frame. Once both hinges are attached, place the gate frame collar around the gate frame and replace the bolts. Tighten the bolts as needed.
