Choose a single cylinder deadbolt when you need enhanced security and controlled access for exterior doors or storage areas.

Unlike a double cylinder deadbolt, which requires a key on both sides, or a patio deadbolt which is typically operated from the interior, a single cylinder deadbolt uses a key on the exterior and a thumbturn on the interior. This allows for secure locking from outside while ensuring quick, convenient exit from inside.

It’s a dependable, versatile option – delivering the security you need with everyday use.

Keying Information

If you want your new hardware to work with your existing key, you must match two things:

1. Key cylinder type
   Key cylinder types are not interchangeable. For example, a Schlage C key will not work in a Weiser WR5 cylinder.
2. Key code
   Even if the cylinder type matches, the key code must also match for the key to work.

If you are unsure of your key type or code, we recommend taking your key to a locksmith or key copy center for identification.

Keying Options

• Keyed Alike – All sets ordered together will operate with the same key.
• Keyed Different – Each set ordered together will operate with its own unique key.
