Choose an entry knob when you need enhanced security and controlled access for doors like exterior entries, offices, or storage areas.

Unlike a privacy knob, which only locks from the inside, a passage knob, which never locks, or a dummy knob, which is purely decorative, a keyed entry knob uses a key on the exterior and a turn piece on the interior. This allows for secure locking from the outside while ensuring quick, convenient exit from the inside.

It’s the ideal choice when safety matters most—offering dependable security, flexibility, and peace of mind.

Keying Information

If you want your new hardware to work with your existing key, you must match two things:

1. Key cylinder type
   Key cylinder types are not interchangeable. For example, a Schlage C key will not work in a Weiser WR5 cylinder.
2. Key code
   Even if the cylinder type matches, the key code must also match for the key to work.

If you are unsure of your key type or code, we recommend taking your key to a locksmith or key copy center for identification.

Keying Options

• Keyed Alike – All sets ordered together will operate with the same key.
• Keyed Different – Each set ordered together will operate with its own unique key.
