Ashland® Tail Piece Assembly for 1-3/4″ or 2-1/4″ Thick Doors

This Ashland® tail piece assembly is designed for adapting entry locksets to fit thicker doors, specifically accommodating both 1-3/4″ (44.5mm) and 2-1/4″ (57.2mm) thick doors. The cylinder tailpiece features a break-off score line, making it easy to convert standard 1-3/4″ thick door hardware to work on a 2-1/4″ thick door.

If you are retrofitting or replacing door hardware and your trim set was originally designed for a 1-3/4″ door, the included screws, spindle, and tailpiece from the factory set will usually be too short for a 2-1/4″ door. This assembly provides the necessary longer tailpiece solution, but you must use longer screws (not included) for proper installation.
