Details
The White House Historical Association has been manufacturing an annual ornament since 1981. Each year, a new design is created honoring the next President in succession. The 2008 White House Ornament highlights Benjamin Harrison(1889-1893). Harrison was the centennial president, inaugurated 100 years after George Washington. The ornament is inspired by the Harrison familys Victorian Christmas tree, which is the first recorded tree to decorate the White House.
