VISIONstrip is a precision extruded glazing seal consisting of an EPDM rubber extrusion positioned at the sightline, combined with a 100% solid, highly adhesive and elastic cross-linked butyl preformed sealant bonded below. This single-component profile achieves a positive wet seal between the metal and glass surfaces while maintaining the clean appearance of a traditional gasket at the sightline. The integrated EPDM and butyl construction simplifies installation and promotes consistent sealing performance.
VISIONstrip is used in compression glazing systems wherever the design calls for high-performance glazing, including curtain walls, punched window systems, ribbon window systems, and sloped glazing applications.
A mock-up is recommended to verify acceptable mating between both VISIONstrip and the metal nib prior to full-scale installation.
