Tension bands are a chain link fence fitting that is used to attach the tension bar to the terminal post, stretching the fabric and keeping the fence taut. This 1 5/8″ Tension Band is ideal for residential settings and is built to withstand harsh outdoor conditions. When it comes to adding tension bands for your fence installation, one less tension band than the overall height of the fence should be utilized (i.e. a 6′ high fence uses 5 tension bands).
